Student Careers and Pathways

Dear St John Paul II community,

As the Leader of Student Careers and Pathways. I am working alongside a dedicated Wellbeing Team and Mrs. Linda Zammit as administrative coordinator. 

Across both junior and senior years, our team supports students in preparing for future pathways through a range of areas, including:

• University admissions

• Early entry into university

• Post-school options such as TAFE, traineeships, private colleges, scholarships, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander access pathways

• Work experience for Years 10, 11, and 12

• Step Up Into Teaching and Step Up programs for ACU courses

• Subject changes for Year 11 and early Year 12 entrants, in collaboration with Ms Phillips 

• Support for Year 10 and 11 early leavers

• Organisation of careers incursions and excursions, including upcoming transition events

• Professional learning for staff in careers education, including MY Design for Stage 4 

• Community engagement initiatives involving ALUMNI, parents, and carers

• Careers Programs to broaden options for our First Nations students
