Senior students are to wear their full College uniform to and from school every day. Students who are required to wear the College sport uniform for practical subjects will change at the beginning and end of the respective lesson.
Every student is expected to be properly dressed in full College uniform at all times and well groomed.
Students should feel a sense of great pride in their personal appearance and be proud to belong and be part of St John Paul II Catholic College.
Students must wear the College cap/hat for PE lessons, outdoor lessons and sports/activities.
The College also recommends wearing a College hat/cap during break times
No student is permitted to wear a ‘hoodie style’ jumper or jacket.
Students found to be out of uniform without a valid reason in writing from a parent/carer will have a warning recorded online via Compass which is available for parents/carer viewing.
These warnings may mean they will be expected to attend detention.
Repeated failure to wear correct uniform will require parents/carer to attend a meeting regarding the matter.
Students in incorrect shoes cannot participate in practical classes for health and safety reasons.
Students will be expected to get the correct shoes before going to class.
Personal items that are removed to meet WHS requirements are the responsibility of the student. The College, staff or other students cannot be held liable for any loss/damage to this/these items.
Applications for variations to the published uniform requirements must be made directly to the College Principal prior to any event or making a request. The request must be in writing and an appointment will be arranged to discuss further. It is usually the case that any request for variation will be made at the enrolment meeting/process before acceptance agreements are signed by parents/carers.
Please note: A letter or interview does not guarantee acceptance of the request.
The College Principal makes the final decision in regard to what meets the published College uniform standards.
