Our Apprenticeship/Traineeship & Jobs Expos are held annually and have grown to a status where they are widely accepted as the premier events of their kind in NSW. The timing of the expos is a hit with families, as they allow parents to attend with their children and have those all-important career chats with industry experts.

Term 3 and 4 RIEP Program Message: Girls On Fire Vocational Pathway
Girls on Fire is delivering an 8-week Vocational Pathways Program in the Blue Mountains this coming Terms 3 & 4, offering young women aged 16–19 hands-on experience with fire and emergency services professionals, nationally recognised units of competency, and real insight into purpose-driven career pathways.
Throughout the program, participants will explore urban and rural firefighting, flood and storm response, emergency management, community resilience, and career pathways across the sector—all while building practical skills, confidence, and career readiness.
Dates: Thursdays, 17 September – 19 November 2026
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Location: Multiple venues across the Blue Mountains region
(including Penrith, Blaxland, Valley Heights and the Nepean River area)
Eligibility: Young women aged 16–19

Construction Work Experience with TWIC and WSU

TWIC (The Women in Construction) has partnered with Western Sydney University’s Faculty of Engineering, Computing, and Science to launch Experience Construction—a free, week-long work experience program designed specifically for Year 10 girls with leading Australian construction companies.

EOI for a CathWest Taster Day in Childcare
The Early Childhood Education Futures (ECE) Workshop provides high school students with a hands-on opportunity to explore careers in early childhood education. Through interactive play-based activities and engagement with local educators and centre directors, students will gain insight into the sector and learn about career pathways, including work experience and traineeship opportunities.
Student will have to get their way to and from the venue. 25/8/2026 from 9:30 am- 1:30 pm.
