We are called to be people of Christ with courageous hearts & minds for all to flourish.
In this week's College Update
Dear St John Paul II College community,
The College held its Open Afternoon on Monday 2 March with over 400 families in attendance, exploring various KLA displays, listening to music performances and indulging in culinary delights. We are extremely proud of our community in which deep learning and excellence are central to our work, and where students feel safe and all can flourish. We are inspired by the words and deed of St John Paul II to be courageous and to keep Christ close to our hearts. Enrolment applications for 2027 will close on Wednesday 25 March.
We welcomed Year 7 Parents and Carers to a special gathering at which they heard of any College updates and had the opportunity to meet other families and share experiences. The parents I spoke with were very happy with their child’s experience so far with many saying that the College has provided a caring and challenging learning environment.
Public Speaking commenced last week with many students participating. The CSDA competition is one of them more rigorous public speaking events, so it is wonderful that our students are achieving so well. Thanks to Mr Oscan and his team in preparing the students and assisting on the night.
Other fantastic news has been our Year 8 Cricket Team who were grand finalist runner up in the Berg Shield this year. This is an outstanding achievement considering the calibre of team which are involved.
In addition, our Year 8 Team were the finalist and winners of the overall Da Vinci Decathlon 2026. This is the first time we have entered with both the Year 7 and 8 teams winning multiple categories. Thanks to Mrs Peterson for organising and assisting the teams in preparing.
God Bless
Mr R. Muscat

There have been significant delays in issuing the First School Fee Instalment. If you still haven’t received your school fee invoice, please email cspdfees@parra.catholic.edu.au. Please note that St John Paul II does not issue the invoices, they come from Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese.
Our Lower Quad Project has been completed and now provides a significant amount of shelter from both the sun and the rain. We hope our Students benefit from this new addition to the College. Additional seating is currently under construction so our synthetic turf areas can be better utilised with existing shade during the break times doubling as an outdoor learning area.

In the Berg Shield Semi Final, our students batted first and posted an impressive 149 from 20 overs, with Parth (53) and Jeyaan (57) leading the way. Xavier College Albury were bowled out for 95, thanks to outstanding bowling from Aleena (3/18) and Om (3/10).
In the Grand Final against St John’s Woodlawn, St JPII again won the toss and batted first, finishing on 120. Parth (37) and Jeyaan (29) were our top scorers, while Om claimed 3/13 with the ball. Woodlawn reached the target in the 19th over.
